Harlequin Of Many Faces
Harlequin Of Many Faces
Silicone casting, sewed sculpture
2 x 1.5 x 1 '
2026

Four masks of my face, made from silicone casting, suspended from the iconic jester hat. Each mask represents emotions (sad, angry, scared, and happiness) that are displayed as a façade, while my face remains neutral and emotionless. The history of the Harlequin character in Italian Commedia dell'arte was portrayed as a mischievous servant, intended for entertainment. I stand as a theatrical character, only able to express emotions by using the masks and not my own face.
